Bugesera Management Meeting 06 Feb 2012

On this Monday the 06 February 2012, in Bugesera District held a management meeting on the Agenda was, Report on Performance Contract, Security Issues, and Any Other Business.

A detailed presentation of Performance Contracts was presented one by one, and feedbacks were given for each Performance Contract and general comments were given.

The Mayor said ”we have prioritized these performance contracts even if we are not letting aside other daily activities so everyone has to take the performance contract serious”.

DPC brief the people present about security   situation in the District and asked Executive Secretary to join hands with security force to fight against the rising drugs.

The meeting was attended by contractors for some Performance Contracts to give their commitment.

Heroes Day In Bugesera District

On this Thursday the 1st Feb 2012 was a Heroes Day in Rwanda; the theme was “Duharanire ubutwari, duhashya ihohoterwa rikorerwa abana." This in English means approximately “Let be Heroes, and eradicate children mistreatment”.

The Heroes Day was celebrated at National level by the President of Republic of Rwanda, the president of the chamber of deputies and the president of senate at Heroes Palace (Igicumbi cy’INTWARI).

And the Heroes Day was also celebrated at Village level (IMIDUGUDU) all around Rwanda where different speeches were given and all citizens were supposed to attend and share ideas so to understand the reason of being a Hero and how we can work towards heroism.

In Bugesera District all villages celebrates this important day where all Rwandans get free by the brave and blood of these exemplary men and women who sacrifice their live And most of the speech focus on how everyone can be a hero in the service he is supposed to deliver mostly to push the country development in all sides.

Bugesera Education Performance National Exams 2012

Bugesera District is one the thirty Rwandan Districts where Education profile was not so large, but recently, some school in the region are performing well in 2012 National Examination in primary Six and Senior Three, this because the government of Rwandan in his effort to improve the quality of education taught about Bugesera and creates Excellent school in the District.

The schools which performance well are MARANYUNDO FAWE GIRLS SCHOOL a secondary Girls section Education, School Sponsored by Her Excellence First Lady Jeannette KAGAME  which Performed very well in senior three (S3) where out of fifty four (54) pupils fifty three were in the First Division and only one in Division Two as defined by the ministry of education.

The second is ESPOIR DE L’AVENIR a parent school for kids located in NYAMATA town, this primary school in known for the performance where in all passed three consecutive years all kids passed and succeed the National Examination without any problem, this year among seven four (74) Kids in Primary Six (P6) all succeed with fifty seven (57) in Fist Division and seventeen (17) in second division.

Not only Performance in National Examination is the indicator of effort made in education, Bugesera District Mayor also have put a considerable effort in classrooms construction to make sure necessary infrastructure are in place, and currently ninety 12 YBE classrooms and latrines are in completion so at least all fifteen (15) sectors will be equipped with each  two (2) schools.

Bugesera Performance Contract Evaluation

On the 9th January 2012. A team from National level (MINALOC) and Eastern Province level jointly evaluate Bugesera District Midterm (6 Months) Performance Contracts and went by evaluating one staff by one by checking every Performance contract trough fifty (50) PC and the persons in charge explain his report.

The purpose of the evaluation was to go to field and verify where we are with the soon coming Performance Contracts we signed with his Excellence the President of the Republic of Rwanda, if any problem be addressed adequately on time so we can reach the goal we set.

The joint team realizes that we are progressing well because Bugesera District is at approximately at seventy percent (70%) of the whole Performance Contract but serious problems were found mostly on Report System where the team asks staff in charge IMIHIGO to be careful and report adequately on each activity, and make a clear consolidated report from various levels otherwise it will be considered as not achieved while it is due to lack of consistent report.

Bugesera executive committee thank the team for the job than and promise to push forward so we can correct and consolidate these report. The Mayor of Bugesera District says “This is really a challenge, we promise to correct it as soon as possible so we may reorganize for upcoming evaluation of the Performance Contracts and let the team know that there are some performance where partners are contributing and some time we have to work according to them so the district is seeing how to put effort in these”.
