Bugesera education performance

Bugesera District is one the thirty Rwandan District, Education profile of Bugesera is not so large, but recently, some school are performing well that surely Bugesera will be ranked among the best Districts in Education Performance with nearly created school such as ESPOIR DE L’AVENIR.

Bugesera Performs well in the high school with the first students in the country in MARANYUNDO FAWE GIRL SCHOOL with out of fifty four (54) pupils fifty three (53) were in the first division and only one (1) in division two.

  Also in primary, ESPOIR DE l’AVENIR performs well with seven four (74) kids in Primary six (P6) all succeed with fifty seven in division one and seventeen (17) in division two.

This shows how the education in Bugesera progressing and always the Mayor ask the investor to invert in education also and the indicators starting to come out, Bugesera thank the schools for the success of the school itself and Bugesera District in general.

Bugesera Performance Contract evaluation

On the 9th January 2012, team from national level (Ministry of local Government) and Eastern province level evaluate Bugesera District Midterm (6 months) Performance contracts and went one by one by checking every Performance contract and the persons in charge explain his report.

The purpose of the evaluation was to go on ground and verify where we are with the soon comming performance contracts we signed with his Excellence the President of the republic of Rwanda, if any problem be addressed adequately on time so we can reach the goal we set.

The team realizes that we are progressing but serious problems were found mostly on report system where the team asks the person in charge IMIHIGO to be careful and report adequately on each activity, and make a clear consolidated report from various levels.

Bugesera executive committee thank the team for the job than and promise to push forward so we can correct and consolidate these data. The Mayor of Bugesera District says “This is really a challenge a we are going to correct it soon so we may reorganize for upcoming evaluation of the Performance contracts and let the team know that there are some performance where partners are contributing are we are doing our Best to achieve them”.

 

Mayor solving citizens issues

On the 3rd January 2012, the Mayor of Bugesera District organize two session to solve and answer the problem that Bugesera citizens meet.

The Mayor take 3rd trough 4th January 2012 to solve citizens issues in ten (10) sectors, on the 3rd January 2012, He met those from Nyamata, Mayange, Ntarama Mwogo, and Musenyi, and on the following day he met Gashora, Rilima, Rweru, and Juru Sectors.

On the first day problems were eighteen (18) and most of the problems were those which needs clarification only such as Land registration or those which needs the implementation where a court decision is delayed to be implemented.

The Mayor thanked the citizens for their patient and participatory approach in solving problems and continue by saying, we are here to implement GoR program and give justice to those who need it and I assure you that no one will miss this right until I am here and ask the Leaders on Sector and Village level to keep a vigilante eyes on the problems that the population are have so to solve the because a justice, and development basically started from a household.

All the citizens which were present got a solution to their issues except those issues which need court procedures and some which needs more information gathering and promise the come to field during the resolution, the session also include various staffs who are expert in law such as District Legal Advisor and MAG Staff.

Bugesera District council Retreat.

Bugesera: On this 28 through 29 Dec 2011, Bugesera District council make a retreat at La Palisse Gashora, the retreat brought together all twenty nine councillors, in the retreat they discuss various issue related to their role, responsibilities, and mostly they focus on how they can improve advocacy for the population they are representing.

Four main courses were given in the retreat, one given by DG in MINALOC Fred MUFURUKE who discusses to them about “POLITIKI YO KWEGEREZA UBUYOBOZI N’UBUSHOBOZI ABATURAGE N’URUHARE RW’ABAJYANAMA MU ITERAMBERE RY’AKARERE” which can be translated approximately as decentralisation and the role of a councillor in District development. The second given by Executive secretary of RALGA Theogene KARAKE on “IMIKORERE N’IMIKORANIRE Y’INZEGO” which can be also translated as work and interaction of institution, in the discussion, he explains to council how institution such as council can fulfill duty in harmony with another institution such as the executive. The District Executive secretary discuss about the Progress report of Performance contracts 2011-2012 and the Budget revision for approval. All the two course were interesting and all councillors appreciate them say the retreat comes exactly at necessary moment.

The retreat also knew various activities with various Leaders among them are MP Francis KABONEKA the Bugesera citizens’ voice in national parliament and Chief Officer of army and District Police Commander in Bugesera.

The retreat ended by awarding certificates to council team who completed their mandate recently and a cocktail were shared.

Bugesera Christmas day

BUGESERA: Christmas is believed for Christian as the day when Jesus Christ was born, as most people around world are Christian, on this 25 Dec 2011 they gather to thank God and they also take the opportunity to enjoy the day.

On this 2011 Christmas day in Bugesera District the festivities occurred according to everyone preferences, the churches were completely filled with people during service time, and in the evening families gathered in Bars, Restaurants, and Motels in Nyamata town and other locations in all fifteen (15) Bugesera Sectors to share and enjoy the day.

Bugesera delegation

Bugesera: On the 10 December 2011, Bugesera District visited Kirundo province in Burundi to reinforce the implementation of collaboration among Eastern African Community member as far as paternership and doing business is concerned.

The visit was introduced by a friendly match that oppose Kirundo Province and Bugesera District, where Bugesera scored as usual three goals to one goal (3-1), after the match there was a meeting.

They discussed issues related to security between Bugesera District and Kirundo Province as these are boadering localities, parternership and Business also were amomg the discussed, on security issuetheey agreed to excharge crimes responsible and information on time on both sides.

As far as Business is concerned they agreed to promote aagriculture and livestock production by focus on lakes common to Kirundo Province and Bugesera District.

They agreed to cooperative and promoote business by focusing on there respective areas of Bugesera and to excharge information also on time

 

A 80 kgs cassava production

BUGESERA: From 30th Nov to 1st Dec 2011, Bugesera District is hosting a OPEN DAY of all parterners, this OPEN DAY is organised in NYAMATA CATHOLIC SCHOOL.

Various parterners of Bugesera District are exhibiting their activities in all domain including Education, Health, Finance, and more.

In the Opening Ceremonies the repressentative of Mininster of Local Government and National JADF coordinator thank JADF Bugesera for the achievements, and explains the orgin of JADF and say its was a way of decentralisation where Citizens take part in the decision made for them in all activities, he also appreciates Bugesera District for a good peformance, and says JADF is support His Excelence in the realisation of his UMUHIGO of letting people making decision for them self.

The Mayor of Bugesera thanked the entire JADF members and Guests present and said  "what you realise is Major and it is in line with our vision of making Bugesera a better place to live and work and encourge them to continously work in the same direction to make Bugesera a better place to settle.

The ceremony also was attended by different representative of military and police among them the representative of reserved force in Eastern Province.

EAC Minister open 3 HC in Bugesera

Bugesera: On Tuesday 15 Nov 2011 the Minister of EAC (East Africa Community) official open three Bugesera District health Centers in JURU Sector, GASHORA Sector, and Ngeruka Sector.

All these three HC will accommodate citizens from around Bugesera mostly those from the three Sectors, citizens thanked the government of Rwanda for providing health facilities.

The minister of EAC ask the population to avoid disease in so doing to reduce time spend by going to hospital and use the time in productive works.

In Ngeruka sector citizens request for a super-net (Inzitiramubu) for protecting them mosquito.

The completed HC were sponsored by Access Rwanda Works an American based NGO, with 320 thousand for construction and 32 for equipping the HC.

Mayor with Sierra Leone delegation in 12YBE

Bugesera: On this Friday 11th November 2011, Bugesera District hosted a delegation from Sierra Leone, the delegation made of Sierra Leone local Leaders, came to Rwanda for a study trip for learning Rwanda success stories.

It was in this framework they visit Bugesera District, the Mayor of Bugesera District receive them in Bugesera Conference room and explain to them how the work, and responsibilities are organized and different strategies to achieve the objectives by focusing on IMIHIGO signed with his Excelence the President of the republic of Rwanda.

The Mayor tours them different District achievements by explaining how the District workout all those plans by focusing on how the citizens are playing a key role in all. The delegation visits among them 12YBE (Twelve Years Basic Education), Rilima Health Center and ADEPR Hospital.

The delegation appreciate the work done and at every step they were surprised by the achievements with such a citizens organization and participation mostly in 12YBE and were committed to implement the policy in their home country.
